Preventing Your Dog From Catching Diseases

Like any other animal, dogs, if not properly cared for and properly cared for, can become infected. Here are some parasites that cause dog diseases.

- Heartworm. A mosquito bite causes the heart worm to be present in the dog and will stay in your pet's heart and nearby blood vessels. A dog infected with a heart attack looks dull and may have a persistent cough. If possible, ask your veterinarian if your dog can be given heartworm if it is mosquitoes' time.

- Hookworm. Hookworms can be passed on from a puppy to a puppy during birth or before birth. Hookworms cause a dog to have anemia and loss of appetite.

- Round caterpillar. The transmission of roundworms is very similar to how hookworms are transmitted to a dog. An infected dog usually has a potbelly. Worms cause pneumonia, diarrhea, dehydration, poor growth and vomiting.

- Worm. A dog becomes worm when it swallows fleas carrying worms. A lot of obvious signs don’t usually show up, but on the dog’s path, you could see deposits that look like rice.

- Worm. A dog infected with whipworms may have diarrhea and other illnesses such as stool mucus, and serious intestinal inflammation. Excess weight loss is also a symptom of whipworms.

- Flies. Fleas, which are very common among foreign germs, cause the dog to constantly scratch various parts of the body. This causes hair loss. Ask your veterinarian about a good genetic control program, as genes may be resistant to other products over time.

- Lice. Lice can be less infectious than fleas. Also, they can be easily controlled.

- Ticks. Ticks can cause more problems than fleas because diseases such as Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, or Lyme disease, can be transmitted by ticks. Tweezers can be used to remove ticks one by one. If you do not know how to remove ticks properly and carefully, ask your veterinarian first. If you know how, ticks should be canned with soap and water.
